GRIP Acceptable Use Policy
Overview & Objective
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the appropriate and responsible use of the Global Research & Imaging Platform (“GRIP”), including its tools, modules, and all associated resources. It is designed to ensure the platform's security, performance, and integrity, as well as to protect intellectual property and data privacy.
Who This Applies To
This policy applies to everyone who accesses or utilizes GRIP resources. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Researchers (whether grant-funded or not)
- GRP employees and contractors
- IT personnel
- Any other authorized users
Permitted Usage
- GRIP resources, including tools, modules, and data, are to be used strictly for research-related activities.
Unacceptable Usage
Users are prohibited from:
- Participating in any illegal or unauthorized activities
- Uploading, sharing, or accessing inappropriate, threatening, or harmful content
- Using the platform for clinical applications or any non-research purposes
System & Network Use Guidelines
Users must not:
- Attempt to access data, systems, or user accounts they are not authorized to use
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any harmful software into the GRIP environment
- Carry out actions that could compromise the security, functionality, or performance of GRIP infrastructure
- Upload or analyze data sets that are unauthorized or non-compliant with platform or regional data protection regulations
- Upload identifiable personal data unless it is a GRIP instance behind a research center’s firewall
Communication Standards
It is not permitted to:
- Send unsolicited communications or spam to any GRIP contacts, including the GRIP support team (e.g., info@GRIP-Research.org)
- Use any communication method for harassment or misconduct
Software & Intellectual Property
- Users must adhere to all partner agreement licensing terms and user terms and conditions, both at the platform level and within individual GRIP modules.
Data Privacy & Regulatory Requirements
Users are expected to:
- Protect confidential and sensitive research information at all times
- Ensure that only data de-identified under applicable law (such as HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) is uploaded to the platform
- Make no attempt to re-identify individuals, either alone or in combination with other data or data sets
- Not share confidential information unless specifically authorized to do so
Policy Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary measures, which could include:
- Suspension or termination of platform access
- Legal action if necessary
Policy Review
This AUP is subject to annual review and may be updated as needed by the GRP, LLC legal team to reflect changes in policy or regulation.

By using the GRIP platform, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this AUP and agree to comply with all related policies and procedures.
